India its Assimilating Touch and Chasm in Society

For long I have been trying to understand the current situation in the country , where  every side is accusing other of harshness and intolerance . Secularism and pseudo- secularism is being used in almost all debate some ending amicably and some with enmity across parties

The question is do people understand the basic position of what history of India and its social fabric have been? The land of River Indus, Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswathi, Narmada, Krishna, Kaveri have been vibrant place for breeding inter culture and inter racial harmony. Assimilation of multiple order have happened to bring India/Hindustan at the place where it is. We are the only continuous civilization which have protected its tradition since 5000 years, across the country scores of people worshiping trees, Cow, using Vermilion testifying the continuity in culture . Traditions continue to flow with invaders, asylum seekers becoming part of it

Roman Invaders had come to India around 320 BC and intermixed with local race with Open heart, the famous tale of Selucus Nicator's Daughter Helen marrying Chandragupta Maurya and Megasthanese staying at Patliputra is not hidden information . The result was overall society /culture have flourished with intermixing of  astronomical , Philosophical and architecture  .Assimilation was almost perfect
Similarly when Kushan and Shakas came to India during 1st Century AD they have become part of India , they opened themselves to India and India accepted them with open heart. Kushan became Indian legend that we continue to worship

Lets Move on next invaders Huns. Huns were perfect barbaric and made a big disruption when they came to India . People ran away from North to south and intermixing of cultures again happened exponentially  between north/south and Huns and Indigenous people .
Like water of river Ganga  never smells and always stays odourless  ( scientifically proven cleansing and purifying power) same way Indian continued to be a place for assimilation and growth

One side Dynasties like Gangas came from North to South and ruled Karnataka ,  supported emerging of Kannada .Other side Karnats pioneered dynasty in Ujjain, Gujrat , Mithila, Bengal, Nepal and helped in formation of Maithili, Bengali and northern languages . There may have been minor tiff at the start but overall India continued to be marching forward without any form of closed mind . The installation of Shankaracharya peeth , his debates and installation of cross location/cultural heads are example of such openness in society .

When Muslims Invaded India in 712 AD their infusing into India was much slower until Sufism came . Sufiism, a confluence of Islam and Indigenous Yogic cult. Sufism helped Islam to penetrate wider India, Hindu land and generated a confluence of culture, Indianized Islam . Though there have been radicals like Khilji’s, Aurangzeb, Barani trying to  oppress indigenous people they were outnumbered by people like Akbar, Dara Sikoh, Mohammad Tughlaq  etc and assimilation /intermixing continued  though with little scepticism .

Needless to say Parsis of India and India of Parsis , Jews . Assimilation was perfect without any bias

What have happened during the period of Mir Kasim invasion and coming of Mughals in India is that Arab world have compiled Hadith ( a set of practises they have been doing pre/Post prophet) again they did some deliberations across multiple compilations and  formed Shia and Sunni versions of "master Document' to be practised . Please note all this was happening post death of Prophet and in parallel to the confluence of Sufism  in India .It was the time where hardliners have 'closed the door for further deliberations’ and change in master Hadith , thereby stopping any confluence and intermixing. Since then Multiple Voices have been raised within Islam to open the thought process and let them 'indigenise' and have been quelled by Hardliners. Despite these Sufiism and moderates continued to live till 21st Century without much disturbance  from hardliners

When Saudi Arabia got economic boom through Oil exports it  again tried to bring  Muslim hardliners and radicals into forefront , giving them a new impetus by providing economic as well as 'Sunni Religious backing'. This was necessary for them to re-establish the position of Arabs in Muslim world as well as counter influence of Iran/Iraq/Ceria. Those hardliners using Indian Madrasas of Barelevis, Deoband, Ahle Sunnat etc. have slowly started killing social fabric of India and its neighborhood. Once thriving culture of Moderate Muslims slowly became victim of these hardliners and a stretch have started between the society. Where assimilation and indigenization of the people have been stopped. Arabic Burkas and Islamic schools were imposed on Ladies/student among Muslims society, which till recent have been very much optional

Its this quelling of Moderates in Muslim society which created 'opposition' within Hindus , Hardliners within Islam was equally reciprocated though little later. Considering congress was a meek spectator (if not supported) of quelling moderates within Islam , Jansangh/BJP and its associates parties  started gaining public support and now the chasm across the society is increasing with an exponential pace. Unless moderates/Sufism regains their place in Islam it wont be possible for Hindus to do away with their position because of  obvious political/social reasons . Whatever secular pseudo-seculars preach to Hindus would go unheard unless there is unbiased opposition to extremism at both side , rather it would fuel the Majority society and chasm would become wider. The digital disruption have ensured the thoughts and Ideas reach wider crowd and much timely thus any act of bias, appeasement, hatred  in name of secularism  would do more harm than good

India have long being place of assimilation and integration, think about a house in India which doesn't use Potato, Tea, Pineapple, Green Chilis, Tomatos , Coffee . Their use is so Indian that we often put them as Indian identity. Same with Bata, TATA  etc .  Are they not being introduced recently infect as late as 15th century however 'the freedom' to use them, relate with them and modify their usage have made them household item. The similar freedom for deliberation and assimilation is need of hour across all religion and groups to cover the chasm which have been made into world Society
